What is EM and Maple EM.1?
EM or Effective Microorganism technology assists in producing food along with creating a healthier environment that too without any use of chemicals. The EM technology was developed in the early 1980s, at University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan by Professor Dr. Teruo Higa, a distinguished individual in the field of horticulture.

At present, the EM technology is used in more than 125 countries for over 20 years. Some of these countries include USA, several countries of South East Asia, and in Europe. In India, the technology is used by the State Governments of Sikkim, Uttaranchal, and Mizoram for maintaining the agricultural rate. In this procedure, many strains of microorganisms are used that are collected from Indian natural environment. This is also called "cultivation of multi-strained microorganisms. Mainly three microorganisms are used that are Lactobacillus, yeast, and Photosynthetic bacteria. All these microorganisms are harmless to plant, animal, human, aquatic and marine life.
